A lady has narrated a nasty experience she had where a commercial motorcycle operator approach her and accused her of doing a fake alert. It got into a heated argument which attracted passersby. The matter escalated to the extent that she was molested by passerby as the man key calling her ‘ a thief’. The matter was eventually settled when the young bike rider was asked to call the name on the alert, which was not the same with her name .
The lady narrates further:
“I was on my way to Iyana Ipaja to deliver some orders when I stopped at the toll gate to hand a package to a customer. While standing by the road with my goods, a bike man suddenly walked up to me and started cursing and accusing me of doing fake #3,000 transfer to him days earlier
“I was shocked because I don’t even live around the area. Before I knew it, a crowd gathered and for an hour, he refused to let me go shouting “Thief” and turning people against me. In the process, I was harassed and hit. Few people even collected my phone insisting I was guilty. Thankfully a few people stepped in and asked him to check his account and confirm the name on the transfer
“When they did, my name wasn’t there, it was someone else entirely. That was when they realized he was lying. Those same people started begging me, but the damage was already done. After an hour of humiliation and fear, I couldn’t hold myself. I broke down and cried .
