Singer Bankole Wellington, professionally known as Banky W., has opened up about his marriage to actress Adesua Etomi. He said for a long time, she kept him in the friend zone, but after pushing for a while, he gave up and started praying about it. God actually answered his prayers as Adesua soft pedalled and asked him to be her husband
Banky said this in an interview with comedian and talk show host Teju Babyface, where he also appeared with his wife Adesua Etomi.
His words:
“Adesua was actually the one who asked me to be her husband. She kept me in the friend zone for a long time. So, I stopped pushing and simply prayed to God to touch her heart. After a year and a few months, she finally called me ‘my husband’—and that’s it.”
On her part, his wife Adesua Etomi said; she never wanted to marry a pastor, a politician or an artiste but God gave her all in one person
Adesua speaks more:
“We’ve been married for 10 years and we still hold each other’s hands all the time. We sleep together with our feet touching each other. I didn’t want to marry an artiste, a pastor and a politician but God gave me all three”, Adesua said.
