The Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), officially unveils Naija Flavour… Destination December 2025, a new national initiative created to showcase the richness of our culture while strengthening tourism through creativity, innovation and economic opportunity.
Speaking at the pre-event press briefing in Abuja, the Director General, Dr. Olayiwola Awakan, highlighted Naija Flavour as a creative tourism expression that reflects the identity, energy and entrepreneurial spirit of the Nigerian people. The maiden edition will hold in Abuja on 13 December 2025, with future editions planned across all six geopolitical zones.
This year’s event will host a vibrant lineup — from food and fashion to theatre, music, games and a dynamic SME marketplace. Among the cultural acts scheduled to perform is Chief Adebayo Olamilekan Israel, Nigeria’s youngest traditional title holder, celebrated for his exceptional mastery of Yoruba proverbs and storytelling at just 9 years old.
Naija Flavour aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda, promoting SMEs, supporting cultural preservation and driving sustainable tourism activities nationwide. The DG also appreciated partners supporting the initiative, including Monoliza Abuja, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), the National Troupe of Nigeria, Centre for Black and African Art Civilization (CBAAC), the National Film and Video Censors Board and the Guild of Theatre Drummers (GOTHAD).
