Nollywood actress Stephanie Linus- Okereke, has joined the rising number of Nigerians, including celebrities, calling on government to take urgent action concerning the growing insecurity in the country. She said, it’s high time everyone rise against the deliberate killing of christians, especially in the Northern part of the country

The actress who has been at the forefront of women’s right , education and protection of the girl child, asked, Nigerians to speak out as people can no longer afford to keep quiet while evil prevail.

The actress wrote:

“They say evil prevails when the righteous stay silent. This video is just a small glimpse of what many Christians in the North are enduring, and this reality is creeping into other parts of the country. We cannot keep looking away. It’s time to speak boldly and stand firmly against the darkness spreading across our land.

She urged the government and the security agencies to wake up to their responsibilities, which is providing security across some of these hot spots.

“Our churches in the North, and across Nigeria, need real and immediate support. Technology has become a lifeline. This CCTV footage shows only a fraction of what happens almost daily in the North and far too often these attacks are denied, ignored, or dismissed as if they never happened. No one should face this kind of violence in their place of worship.

“Well must step up and support our local churches with the tools and protection they need, and our government must act swiftly. Lives, communities, and the freedom to worship are at stake, she wrote.
