Nollywood actress Chacha Eke has joined her other colleagues and Nigerians pushing the free Sammy hastag.
She advised Senator Nwoko to let his wife Regina Daniels go if she wants to go.
Chacha wrote,”When a woman says she’s done, she’s done. No means no! No woman should have to beg for peace Let her go. Don’t break her. Freedom is a birthright”.
The actress said she has been mentally shaken by the ordeal of her young colleague Regina Daniels in her marriage.
“These past few days, I’ve been mentally shaken by the ongoing marital crisis of my colleague, Regina Daniels.
“I’ve read thought-provoking updates, imagined dark scenarios, cringed, and even cried” Chacha lamented.
The actress highlighted the point that she understands clearly what Regina is going through. Addding that the poor choices she made as teenager came back to hurt her later in life, which she is still healing from.
“I was once a teenager. I was once in my twenties. I remember the poor choices that later came back to bite hard and I’m still healing from some of those deadly mistakes.
“As a woman, I understand the sting of realizing that someone you once planned forever with, someone you share children with, can rise like a monster, trying to consume you physically and spiritually”, she wrote .
Chacha Eke, who has been through her own marital crisis lamented that it’s usually painful for a mother to see her children suffer or beaten.
“As a mother, I know the torment of seeing your children suffer, starved, beaten, or broken in spirit. I’ve lived through chaos and trauma of all forms, and my heart truly goes out to Regina and her family.
“This is beyond heartbreaking. I can only hope that the wave of concern and solidarity across the internet will make a real difference.
“This is not a time to blame, not a time to mock, but a time to let our humanity rise and spread healing energy through this darkness”.
She further wrote, “It could be you. Maybe not in the same way but pain is pain, and no one deserves to walk through fire alone.
“Sammy West is Regina’s brother. He did what blood does for blood he defended his sister. He doesn’t deserve to be locked up. He deserves justice”.
