Popular yoruba actor Odunlade Adekola, has given an insight into why his marriage has remained stable. The actor said because of the nature of his job, he has been able to keep his marriage away from public view added to the fact that his wife is his prayer partner and his rock.
Adekola has been married for the past 23 years to Ruth Odunlade and the marriage is blessed with four children.
His words, “I have been married for over 20 years now, and my secret is only three.
“My name is Odunlade Adekola, and I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Ruth Adekola. We have been married for over 23 years now, since 2003. People often ask me how we have stayed together for so long in an industry where many marriages fail. The answer is simple-God, patience, and understanding.
Adekola noted that no marriage is rosy but when you marry your friend it becomes easier to whether the storms. The thespian added that Ruth is not just his wife, but his biggest fan
He continues:
“Marriage is not always rosy, but when you marry your friend, it becomes easier to weather the storms. Ruth has been my pillar of support from the days I was still struggling in the movie industry till now. She is not just my wife, she is my prayer partner, my adviser, and my number one fan. By the grace of God, our marriage is blessed with four wonderful children.
“We try as much as possible to keep our family life private because I believe that not everything should be for public display. My children are growing up well, and I thank God for their lives. Despite my busy schedule, I always create time for my family.
“No matter how popular you become, family should always come first. That is what keeps me grounded and reminds me of my purpose in life. In all, I give God the glory for blessing me with a peaceful home and a loving family.”
