Frankfurt am Main, Germany: Organisers of the 2026 Nollywood Film Festival Germany (NFFG) and the Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA) Gala-Nite have announced that three of Nigeria’s senior diplomats in Europe have confirmed their attendance at this year’s prestigious cultural events.
The confirmation was disclosed during a meeting with leaders of Nigerian communities in Germany hosted by His Excellency, Ambassador (CG) Dr. Yakubu A. Dadu, Consul General of Nigeria in Frankfurt am Main.
According to Ambassador Dadu, the following dignitaries are expected to grace the festival and awards ceremony:
His Excellency, Senator Ambassador Ita Enang, LL.D, OFR, Nigeria’s newly appointed Ambassador to Germany.
His Excellency, Ambassador (CG) Dr. Yakubu A. Dadu, Consul General of Nigeria in Frankfurt am Main.
His Excellency, Ambassador Wahab Akande, Nigeria’s newly appointed Ambassador to Switzerland and the immediate past Consul General of Nigeria in Frankfurt am Main.
Further confirmation was received when the secretary to Ambassador Ita Enang, based at the Nigerian Embassy in Berlin, contacted the Festival Director, Isaac Izoya, Cultural Ambassador, to reaffirm the Ambassador’s participation in the event.
One of the major highlights of yesterday’s meeting was the generous gesture by His Excellency, Ambassador Yakubu A. Dadu, who donated 100 complimentary tickets to mobilise Nigerians to attend the event. His remarkable support and commitment to promoting unity and community participation are deeply appreciated.
The event Director also confirmed that Hon. Christopher Okaeben, the Commissioner For Arts, Culture and Creative Economy of Edo State, Hon Justice Peter Kekemeke with his wife Rose Kekemeke and Hon. Dr. Omorede Osifo Ex-Commissioner for Arts, culture and creative Economy of Edo State and presently the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Women Mobiliza on, overseeing women affairs across Edo State. have also confirmed their attendance.
The attendance of these distinguished diplomats and political figures underscores the growing importance of the Nollywood Film Festival Germany and the Nollywood Europe Golden Awards as leading platforms for promoting Nigerian cinema, culture, and creative excellence across Europe.
With all invited international stars having successfully secured their visas, preparations are now in the final stages. The organisers describe this year’s edition as one of the biggest in the history of the festival, promising an unforgettable celebration of African film, entertainment, and cultural heritage.
